Every online sale follows this route. We manage the environment it happens in.

The sales environment

A webshop is more than the front end

What your visitor sees is one layer. Underneath it sit your product data, payments, orders and stock, and those have to keep working while you sell.

The Digikwal management layer

  • Platform management and updates
  • Monitoring
  • Configuration and checkout management
  • The integrations we set up
  • Support

Which parts you use depends on the package you choose and on your sales model. Not every feature is included in every package as standard.

Why managed?

A webshop that stays managed after launch too

Many webshops are built as a one-off project. After the launch, the management lands with the owner. Here, we stay responsible for the technical sales environment.

You are not buying a webshop licence with hosting, but an environment that Digikwal sets up, manages and supports.

Platform management and updates

We keep the environment current and working, without you spending time on it.

Monitoring

We keep an eye on the managed environment and often see problems before you do.

Checkout, payments and integrations

We manage the configuration, the payment integration and the integrations we set up.

Support

If something does not work as intended, you call or email us. We solve it.

"Extension" means we can add it separately. The final setup is agreed per webshop.

No artificial product limits: a larger range does not automatically mean a more expensive package. The choice of package follows from your product structure, variants, languages, filters, workflows, integrations, automation, B2B and management complexity. A very large or technically heavy catalogue can be a reason for a separate assessment; we discuss that in advance.

Checkout

The critical step in your sales flow

Nothing may break between basket and confirmation. We manage the technical setup of those steps.

  1. Step 1 Basket

Products, quantities and discount rules as they are set up.

  2. Step 2 Details

Customer details and a customer account where that fits.

  3. Step 3 Delivery

Shipping methods, rates, free-shipping rules, click and collect.

  4. Step 4 Payment

An integrated online payment through the chosen payment solution.

  5. Step 5 Confirmation

The order, the order status and the stock processing behind it.

Payments

We support integrated payments through selected payment partners, such as Mollie, Adyen or Stripe. Depending on the provider and the setup, those can be iDEAL, payment cards, digital wallets and other online payment methods.

What do you pay per transaction?

Transaction fees are separate from the monthly subscription. The rates depend on the payment method and the payment solution you choose. What you pay per transaction is agreed clearly in advance.

After the checkout

The work only starts with the order

An order is not an end point. We manage the system the order is processed in; the execution stays with you or your fulfilment partner.

  1. Order
  2. Check and processing
  3. Stock
  4. Shipping or collection
  5. Order status
  6. The customer is informed

We manage the order system

Order processing, order statuses, shipping configuration, the stock functionality, the managed integrations and the automation set up around them. If something gets stuck there technically, that is ours.

You run the operation

Processing orders, packing products, shipping, handling returns and communicating with individual customers. Keeping your physical stock up to date stays work for your own team.

Clear roles

We manage the sales environment. You run the webshop.

Digikwal manages

The webshop platform and its configuration, software updates, the checkout, the payment integration, the stock and shipping functionality, the integrations we set up, technical multilingual support, the content functionality, monitoring, technical problems and support with regular use.

You decide

Your product range, selling prices and margins, purchasing, your product content and product photos, your commercial terms, your shipping and returns policy, your translated content, customer service, fulfilment and your entrepreneurial decisions.

What support is

The checkout does not work as intended, a payment is not processed technically, a product is displayed incorrectly, stock does not synchronise, an order status gets stuck, a shipping option does not appear, a discount rule does not work as set up, a managed integration returns an error, or a user needs help with regular functionality.

What is project or hands-on work

Large product imports and thousands of manual changes, product photography, writing product copy and translations, structural content management, a completely new checkout process, a new complex integration and custom development. We can do that, but we quote it separately.

Structural copywriting, SEO content and campaigns belong with Managed Marketing. What we agree about availability is recorded in advance.

Implementation

Set up properly first. Then managed properly.

A webshop has to be set up first. We do that as a project, before the management starts.

  1. Assessment
  2. Webshop and product structure
  3. Checkout, payments and shipping
  4. Content and integrations
  5. Migration and product import
  6. Testing
  7. Training
  8. Go-live
  9. Managed Commerce

Depending on your situation also: categories · variants · filters · users and roles · languages · stock · discount rules · customer accounts · B2B · analytics

Already have a webshop?

Then we first assess what you have: your current webshop, products, variants and categories, customers, orders, stock, content, URL structure, payments, shipping, integrations and the relevant historical data. After that we determine what we migrate, what will be set up again, which URLs are kept or redirected and how the transition runs under control. We do not promise in advance that all data can come along in full, and we make no promises about search engine positions.

  1. The existing webshop
  2. Assess
  3. Keep, improve or migrate
  4. A managed environment

We quote the implementation separately, after an assessment. It is a one-off: the monthly subscription pays for the management and support afterwards.

Growing

When your sales model gets more complex

You do not have to use everything on day one. The environment can grow along under control without everything being rebuilt.

More languages

Webshop includes several languages within a normal scope; Plus includes a more extensive multilingual environment. We manage the technical multilingual setup; you supply or fund the translated content yourself.

Selling to businesses

Webshop Plus supports B2B within the standard capabilities: business customer accounts, customer segments, price lists and business sales flows. You set prices, terms and which business customers you accept. Complex wholesale or distribution processes we assess in advance.

More sales complexity

Product bundles, more extensive discount rules and filters, more complex workflows, additional automation and API access within agreed management boundaries. We discuss extensions in advance, with a clear price.

Several webshops

Shared operations

Do your products, stock or back end stay largely the same, with a separate webshop in front of them? Then that extra webshop falls within your existing environment for €59 per month, excluding VAT. Its implementation is charged separately.

Its own catalogue or back end

If the extra webshop works with an entirely separate catalogue, its own stock, its own back end or markedly different processes, it is no longer shared operations. In that case we look at whether a subscription of its own fits better.

Integrations towards Managed Finance and Managed Marketing are possible; those services themselves are separate and do not fall within this subscription. New complex integrations are project work.

Is it a fit for you?

Who is this for?

A good fit when

  • selling online is your main model or a structural part of your business
  • you want to start a professional webshop, or your current one is due for replacement
  • the checkout, payments and order flow need to be properly managed
  • stock and webshop have to work together
  • you want to use several languages, B2B or integrations
  • you want one party to turn to and do not want to handle technical management yourself

Less of a fit when

  • you are only looking for the cheapest webshop hosting
  • you want to manage everything technically yourself
  • you want to build a fully custom commerce platform, or extreme bespoke work dominates the standard functionality
  • you expect us to carry out your fulfilment or customer service
  • you expect unlimited product entry or content production to be part of the subscription

Shop or webshop?

If what you mainly have is a physical shop with a webshop alongside it, Managed Commerce Retail fits better: there, the shop, till, stock and online sales are managed as one environment. For hospitality there is Managed Commerce Restaurant. So you do not need two subscriptions for one integrated sales environment.

A webshop that stays properly arranged after launch too?

We look at your products, your sales process, your checkout, your payments, your stock, your shipping and any existing systems. After that we determine which setup and which package fit.

No two webshops are exactly alike. That does not mean everything has to be bespoke.
